On the 22nd of August 2015, Louis Pasteur Private Hospital sponsored a tournament called “The Louis Pasteur Charity Cup” which included three primary school from different areas.
The host of the tournament was Northridge Primary School which is situated in Montana, and other participants included Apax Primary School from Johannesburg (Auckland Park) and Sibongimpumelelo Primary School from Ethembalethu village “Kwamhlanga’” in Mpumalanga.
The objective of the tournament was to support primary schools from the various townships and villages: all schools with passion for sports however lack of equipment to develop their talent and further their potential i.e. lack of soccer/netball balls, boots, kit, shin guards amongst others.
On an annual basis the host chooses one school from different areas which falls under the afore-mentioned category and this year was not any different as they choose Sibongimpumelelo Primary School to be one of the participants.
The tournament started in the early hours of the morning, Sibongimpumelelo played all teams including a surprise act squad which was Mamelodi sundowns under 13, 12 and 10.
